The Yak is back for Coventry City
Professional footballer Yakubu Aiyegbeni who's nickname is The Yak has signed for Coventry City until the end of the season. Coventry Manager Russell Slade " had confirmed the club would be looking to sign the 34 -year-old former Nigeria international if he could prove his fitness when training with the Sky Blues - who are at the bottom of the league.
The Yak will be staying with the Sky Blues until May 2017 - pending international clearance.
" We're pleased to have secured the signing of Yakubu, who brings vast experience and a terrific goal record, " Slade told Coventry's official website.
Yakubu is re-establishing his playing career in the UK after a year at Turkish Super League club Kayserispor.
He scored 96 goals in the English Premier League between 2003 and 2012
